Click for more detail... Obtained first Novice ticket as KN7VNA through the Boeing Employee's Amateur Radio Society (BEARS) in 1962. Upgraded to Technician and was active on 6 meters for 5 years. After a 10 year absence, went through the whole process again, ending up with calls of KA7CGV and finally KB7JG. Primarilly enjoy DX hunting on 10 & 15 Meter Bands. Still enjoy CW and feel that it's a vital portion of Ham Radio. Have been enjoying PSK , RTTY, and other digital modes since 2003. Lots of fun there. I'm a retired firefighter with 35 years total service (career and volunteer/brigade). Retired in 1989 from the City of Tukwila, Washington Fire Dept. as Assistant Chief.
