Hello, licensed in 1977 upgraded to Advance Class in June 1978 and have held this call since that time, the orginal call was WD9HJC ,I grew up in Chicago,Il.,and was interested in Ham radio as a teen but cars,and girls came first.I still had a intrest in radio bought some issues of ham mags, and talked to a friend's friend who was a ham ,took the novice and passed, I enjoyed those early contacts on cw........I worked on the CHICAGO POLICE DEPT.  for 30yrs ,and retired at age 58 ,bought this property and had the house put on it .Once I was here I set up the shack and am active . on HF /VHF  ,a member of ARRL ,and the Starke County Amatuer Radio Club.
