Hello all fellow Hams!

My name is Don KB9UMT and I (like many of you) enjoy the fun and challenges of Amateur Radio.

My station is located 3 miles SW of the city of Peoria IL in grid EN50dp a top one of the highest bluffs in the local area over looking the Illinois river. My rigs are Icom ic-756ProII, ic-746, ic-706Kenwood ts-2000, ts-930, ts-520Yaesu FT-920 (the FT-1000mp had to go to purchase the 756 darn it). I don't think anyone can pick out one radio as the best radio, we all have differnet tastes and the rigs all have different features.but the 1000Mp and ICOM ic-756ProII are hard to beat on HF in my book, and the ts-2000 for all mode all band hf/vhf/uhf rig is another one I would suggest and if had to just pick on 'do it all' rig the ts-2000 would be it. Antennas are: for HF 3 element Mosley TA33jr (10,15,20), homebrew 30m 2 element yagi and homebrew 17m 2 element yagi.wire antennas are 80 270' loop feed w/ladderline to tuner, OSF wire 4:1 coax, and 6BTV Huster Vert 10-80 +17/12 mod wires A99 vert for CB/10/12/15/17.for 6m 3 element yagi and for vhf/uhf 440 11e beam (SAT), 270-10 144/440 beam vert, 11 ele 2 mtr horz beam, (also have many wire antennas around in the attic or basement etc for testing qrp w/limited space or restrictions). Tuners are MFJ and main tuner an old Dentron MT3000 that can load just about anything.

The things a am interested in as a Hamhummmeverything!! I'm on bands 160-440 and active on all! My main interest currently is a 'push' for more digital activity on the 30 Meter Band.please join us on 30 Meters and the 30 Meter Digital Group!

I hope to see you on the bands and would welcome an on air rag-chew or any email. We have such a great ham community and I think we all should be proud! Thanks QRZ for this fine website.73 and see you on the bands!
