1st licensed in March of 2000, upgraded to General February of 2007. I never did succeed learning CW, so for me the dropping of the code requirement was great. Others might disagree, and I can understand that.

I'm Net Control for the Yo Yo Net on the Suring Wi. repeater, every Saturday nite at 8pm, 145.470, pl 114.8.Sure have a lot of fun doing that, but whoa unto whoever times out the repeater during a Net. The clock in the station picture is my Golden Yo Yo Award for being so careless, hihi.

Station consits of an IC 2350 on a Diamond X50 at 35', anFT8800 using a 16' Cushcraft dual bander or 2 10 element beams at 50' and 44' respectively, and an rfc2-417 amp on the beams. For HF there is a Kenwood ts450-sat and a Heil HC6 headset and W2IHY Equalizer into a 75M version of a Carolina Windom at 35' or an old Antron verticle for10 and 12 m's.

If you hear me "Up Nort" on HF, plans are for another TS 450s, KT100 tuner with MC60 Mike and a 160M Carolina Windom, looking to get that going again in 2013.After that add a Delta loop when I can. Up Nort is N45'25.032 W88'23.957. Love working DX and a good QSO.

Hope to catch you on the airwaves,

73, John
