First licensed as a Technician in April 2002, followed by General in April 2003.

Married to a wonderful woman, Arlene in June 2000 who supports me in my many interests and hobbies. I have one stepson, Adam, that lives and works in Omaha, NE

I earned my Private Pilot rating in June 1998. Love to fly whenever I can afford it....which hasn't been much lately. =(

Born and raised in Nebraska. I've been working for the local utility company since 1993 as an Instrument and Controls Technician at the local coal fired power plant.

Played guitar and sang in a band on the weekends for many years up until the early 90's.

The HF setup here is an ICOM IC-706 MKIIg, into a G5RV at 30', with a Heil Pro-set Plus headset.

In April 2004 I put Grand Island's first APRS IGATE in service.

I got interested in amateur radio after reading an article about some gentlemen in Michigan sending amateur radio payloads up to the stratosphere using helium filled weather balloons. I've managed to learn about APRS, build and test my first payload and complete the first flight of CNNSP, The Central Nebraska Near Space Program.
