Howdy, I'm a Wyoming native that loves my radio. I use it daily in communications with my family and friends. Pretty much every member of my family has a license anywhere from tech to extra.

I got my license back in 1997 and have been using it ever since. I have gradually upgraded the ranks and attained EXTRA class. I had to take the 13wpm code test but unfortunately let my CW skills go so I am currently climbing back on the horse and getting proficient again.

I specifically like MOBILE HF. I have a very large and some would say "ugly" hf setup in my truck that performs very well. I also operate  from the back of my 4 wheeler while I explore Wyoming.

I have worked as a Firefighter-medic for almost 13 years (got started on a junior program and have not done much else). I got my certification from Texas A&M in College station. I then became nationally registered and have been working as such. I got my first career ambulance job at 18 and have only worked in emergency service since.  However, as of recent, I was hired by our local police dep. BUT was forced to medically retire.  I have reverted back to working as a parmedic as it is easier on the body.

Me on a hiking trip in the Black Hills.  That is a Ruger Mini-30 for all interested.

Stupid lens cap, LOL.  This is the natural spring that bubbles up on one of our ranch properties in the middle of nowhere.

The rest of my time is spent shooting (my other expensive hobby) and traveling with my wife.  We also both hike and 4 wheel whenever we get the chance. I  have convinced her to get her tech license. She now has upgraded to her general (KE7ZCR). I am so proud. My nerdiness is rubbing off on her.  We recently celebrated our 1 year anniversary.  It is amazing how time has flown by. Brad
