Click for more detail... My name is Kevin(I go by my middle name....lots of Wayne's in the family). I am pictured above left with my son Charlie on the summit of Mount Baldy New Mexico during the summer of 2006. Charlie is an Eagle Scout in Boy Scouts of America and completed his youth scouting career with 106 merit badges and 10 eagle palms. I also have a beautiful daughter named Sarah and she is one of the best musicians you will hear in the Neosho High School Marching Band. That being said I can't forget to mention my beautiful XYL Linda who has been very supportive in my hobby. She is a tremendous help in all of my QSLing, making trips to the post office and keeping my QSL cards in supply. I belong to OARS-Ozarks Amateur Radio Society. I would not have progressed this far, this quick in the radio hobby without all of the "Elmers" in this fabulous club. They have been very forthcoming with their knowledge and experience and I am very thankful to be affiliated with such a "power house" of radio technology and information. The OARS club has the attitude "the only dumb question you can ask is the one you don't". WAS10M, 20M, 40M # 53,135 WAC15M, 20M, 40M DXCC paperwork has been filed and is pending. 153 DX entities worked with 125 confirmed I currently operate a 718 ICOM and a TenTec Omni D on HF. HF antennas consist of an Anttron 99 11M vertical that works well for 10&12M, a 17M monoband dipole, 40M & 80M monoband coaxial dipoles, an Alpha-Delta DB sloper for 30M-160M, and the best for last, a Hy-Gain TH7DX Super Thunderbird tri-band beam for 10M-15M-20M on a 45' crank up tower with a HAM III rotor. I currently operate an ICOM 2200H for 2M FM and a Midland LMR70 surplus Missouri State Highway Patrol rig reprogrammed for the Ham 6M FM band. Both of these rigs are coupled to a JBT4 Jetstream tri-band vertical using LMR400 feedline with a Radio Shack SWR bridge. I also use a Cushcraft 214B Yagi Boomer for 2M FM. If you are needing a QSL card for any ARRL, OMISS, or Century net awards I am happy to oblige and return the favor that many fellow operators afforded me. If you are one of those that doesn't QSL even after multiple cards and SASE's have been sent.....SHAME ON YOU! Whether you are chasing cards, wallpaper, or just happy rag-chewing all operators should have the courtesy and respect for fellow operators to return a card if they are solicited for one. If I have failed to get a card sent to you for any reason and you have solicited me for a card, e-mail me with your contact information. I will verify my log information and get you a card in the mail pronto. I am now making regular uploads to LOTW.
Hope to reach you on the air waves soon! REMEMBER MOST OF ALL TO HAVE FUN!!!!! 73 from the Missouri Ozarks! KD0CIU Last modified: Wed Nov 25 13:36:02 2009 Does this page contain inappropriate content? If so, Report this page... |
