My other hobbies have been getting much more expensive but amateur radio not so much so this year I finally got my license. I'm just getting into HF went from an HTX-10 to a Kenwood TS-430. I have it connected to a Solarcon A99 antenna 20' up in the air for now. I've worked two countries and dozens of states on 10m.

I copied two beacons so far (W0KIZ and W4GZV) YEEHAW! No international beacons booo! I also was talking on KQ2H 10m repeater in NY to a guy in FL, that was very cool!

I have an Icom 2200H I use for 2m base and a Kenwood 7850 with a CG-144 for mobile. I'm in the process of putting up and crank up mast for my 2m beam.

I now have eQSL. I think QRZ has a log book but I don' t know if it's working.
