Hello everybody, my name is Joey Freeland and I currently live near the small town of Central City.  I am 15 years old and I got my Technician on April 4th 2009 and my General on May 28th 2009, with my Extra ticket coming soon.  I enjoy the hobby along with my father, KDØHGA, and we have many good experiences together.

      I have a modest station, running an Icom IC - 706MKIIG with an MFJ Intellituner.  I usually run about 1ØØ watts.  Our antenna farm consists of a 20m dipole, and a 160m inverted V that I use on 160, 80, 40, and sometimes 20.  I got started because I enjoy building(and taking apart) things, and ham radio is a good hobby for this because you can use what you build.  Another contributor was the fact that my dad works at Rockwell Collins, aka the radio factory.  Me and my dad both had a great time at Dayton, and it is a good thing that we didn't spend a lot of time at the flea market because I am quite the pack rat and will buy anything that is a good deal, including stuff I won't use.  I hope to hear all of you on the air!
