Although I've been involved in communications in one way or the other for most of my professional life, Amateur Radio has to be the most fun! I'm having a BLAST!
I enjoy working nearly all aspects of Amateur Radio, especially HF Radio and FM Amateur Radio Satellites.
I'm part of the Hams in Space team, providing presentations at clubs and hamfests on how to work the FM Amateur Radio Satellites: http://hamsinspace.com
73 and Have Fun!
My radio club, the Raytown Amateur Radio Club, K0GQ teamed up with the Radio Club of the National World War I Museum, WW1USA to host a Special Event Station and ARRL Field Day on their grounds. The first video, produced by Steve Martin is made for the Museum to announce the special event stations. The second video, produced by JD Dupuy, highlights the Raytown Amateur Radio Club at the National World War I Museum at Liberty Memorial in Kansas City on June 28/29, 2014. My hat is off to Steve and JD for producing such outstanding videos!
The Amateur Radio Club of the National World War I Museum, WW1USA is actually running a series of Special Amateur Radio Events over the four year centennial of the Great War, commemorating the anniversaries of significant historical events from that conflict. Here, KN4AQ, Gary Pence interviews me and NZØF, Herb Fiddick on Ham Radio Now about the Christmas Truce Special Event hosted at the National World War I Museum on December 27 / 28, 2014 by the Warrensburg Area Amateur Radio Club and the Joplin Amateur Radio Club.
Here are some of the certificates I've earned:
