6 Element Mobile Array Video

6 Element Mobile Array Project Started October 20, 2014 ( 10/12 Meter Band )

Greetings. Working conditions 100% mobile, ic-706. Antenna is my own design: 4 el mobile vert array. Took me 6-7 months to master the design. Array works extremely well, very directional, excellent side rejection. I enjoy designing mobile antennas. Next project is a true 1/4~ mobile vert with no coil to op on 10/12/15/17m. For 15/17m it can only be used statically due to length but will be mounted on ball mount on vehicle. Hope to meet you soon on air. 73 de KD0WQN.

Started the coil free, mobile 4 element array design that will allow operation on 6/10/12/15/17 m. The driven element , reflector and two directors are telescopically extendable to 15', allowing tuning for 17m. In the photo you see the coil-free telescopic antenna, 1" diameter base, setup on stainless steel ball mounts. This is a photo of the 4-el mobile vertical array beam setup to proper length and taper for 10m.

These telescopic antennas can be used at 4ft length through 15'. I will premark 6/10/12/15/17 bands on antenna for as perfect an swr possible. This will allow for quick changeover from band to band. More updates to follow.

2-el Array used for 17m. True 1/4 ~         17 m Driven Element and Reflector
