QSL image for KD4BOX

Hi, I am retired and live in Northeastern Mountains of Tennessee, My background is in Mechanical Engineering 32 years in Power Generation and equipment design and repair. My hobbies: Fishing, Shooting, Camping, Amateur Radio and grand children ( which are now young adults). I enjoy setting up a portable ham station on the high points of the mountains here in northeastern Tennessee for a few hours or days, which ever I'm there. Equipment used in the shack is Yaesu FT-450D and a Yaesu FT-1900R and old ADI AR-146 antennas are a HyGain Vertical AV-18VS antenna ground mounted. I live in a Condo which I must hide the antenna behind the Mountain Laurals I also use a homemade 2 meter J-pole for UHF. I am very limited in area to install a large number of ground radials at a lengths longer than 16 feet.

When I go to the mountain tops I use a FT-450D with a multi-band end-fed wire antenna 6 thur 40 meters and portable power supply.

Looking forward to our next QSO until then 73 and have a great day.

Ron
