Station here is a Yaesu FT- 102 malcomized by NC4L with the FV-102 DM vfo rig does 180 to 200 watts on most bands (I love this radio heavy metal) , a Icom IC-7000 used on six meters , HF and some VHF/UHF work. A Icom IC-718 mostly digtal work, and some phone work also. Amp is a Heathkit SB-200 , what can I say great old work horse amp ! I have a couple commercial Kenwood vhf/uhf radios for ham bands. One new radio in the shack is a motorola XPR-4350 DMR radio. I have a Diamond X-50 vert @ 50 ft. I do a lot of utililty dxing on the Milcom bands, I have a Icom R-2, two Uniden BC 780xlt, Pro 96,Pro 97 and a pro-2052 scanners. Also have a Motorola VHF Astro Spectra p-25/ XTS-5000 800 Mhz p-25 / XTS -3000 vhf p-25 for ham use P-25 simplex and supports public safety scanning. Tennadyne LPA T-6 @ 40 feet fed with LMR -400. Also we have a ground mounted Mosley RV-4C 40 thru 10 with 25 radials. A 160 meter OCFD with 4:1 balun I use on other bands also. I also have a (G0FAH) 5 band wire antenna fed with 450 ohm LL line. We have a 4 element quad on six meters. I am also the SKYWARN asst EC for Pender CO NC woking out of the NWS OFFICE IN WILMINGTON NC. in support of our local VHF ILM Skywarn program. Also I'm a supporter of NC. ARES. I enjoy rig chewing and a little dxing on the side. My bands are(160/60/40 winter bands) , 17,15,12 10 and 6 meters I check first all the time ! I use to work at the NC State Ports as a security technology specialist. Working on access control gear and the com officer for the police department. (Retired 2012 .) New info : NOAA/NWS chat program is now fully operational. We use It for direct coms to the WCM or for the duty forecaster . We helped some years back with the bata testing of the NWS radio chat tool program. The program is now used in support of the NWS Skywarn program, along with EM's and met personal @ TV/RADIO media outlets.This program not open for public use, for offical use only.(https://nwschat.weather.gov/)
