Thank you for looking up my callsign. My name John Denison and I have been a ham since July of 2003. I just recently upgraded my license to General just in time for Field Day 08. My station equipment includes: Mobile: Icom IC-2720h and a Larsen 2/70 mag mount Home: Icom IC-7000/AH-4 and 50 foot wire antenna running at about 330 degrees. The wire antenna runs 20 feet from south to north, then 10 feet west, and then 20 feet north to south. Yaesu FT-2800 used as the KD5YOU-10 RMS gateway. Using a duplexer, I have the FT-2800 on a Comet GP3 in the attic, and a Micro-node on the UHF side. My IC-7000 VHF/UHF jack is connected to a combo 3 element 2 meter horizontal and vertical beams for VHF switched with an A-B switch. Even with a horizontal beam I am still able to hit local repeaters just fine. An Icom IC-208h is running Echolink KD5YOU-R on a Comet 2/70 mag mount on a cookie sheet, and a Uniden BCT8 scanner is used as a backdoor for Echolink. All three radios are on a MFJ 25 amp power supply. The FT-2800 is using a Kantronics KPC3+. The IC-7000 is also using a Kantronics Kam+ for PSK31 and Pactor I. I use a Heil Headset Pro IC and foot switch on the IC-7000. Go Kit: An Icom IC-208h in a yellow Ser-Pac box with a MFJ 25 amp power supply and a Kantronics KPC3+ are used for a portable AirMail station. The laptop is an Asus 4G netbook. Another yellow Ser-Pac box contains a Yaesu FT-7800, KB2REM ILINKBOARD @ www.ILINKBOARDS.com, and a MFJ 25 amp power supply. I can use the same Asus 4G netbook or a Panasonic Toughbook CF-29 for Echolink KD5YOU-L. The IC-7000 and AH-4 are also part of my Go Kit KD5YOU-10 RMS gateway on 145.050
KD5YOU-R Open Echolink node on 145.490 MHz repeater in Richmond TX (sorry but this Echolink node is connected to a non-PL out repeater and therefore I can only accept user station connects) AirMail - KD5YOU /at\ WINLINK .
