HELLO, my name is FRANK (KD6OFZ) I was first licensed in 2002 and as a lot of us got my start on the 11 meter band. Then all the mess started and I really needed to get out of there, it got to a point that it could drive a man nuts. I had now developed a real interest in radio and got together with a couple of friends and started to study for our No Code Tech Licenses. On the day we went to take the test we were all happy campers, having our DJ580T ( handi-talkies) all charged up and ready to go. Soon after, the other guys got lazy, quit studying and fell away. I kicked myself and came to QRZ and started to study for my upgrade and finally made it. After many attempts I finally made it and now I’ve been a General for the last six months. It is great being able to operate my rigs all by myself. I am running a Kenwood TS 450s/TS430s with the power supply external tuner and speaker mc85 Mic/ a Yaesu 736R they are older radios but in very good condition. I also have a Kenwood TA-140S with which my friend NO9T helped me out. He had the rigs and they were not in use so he made me a very good offer on all of them. I have an MFJ Versa Tuner2. My antennas are a G5RV and an Austin Suberben for Vhf/Uhf.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, 73 Frank (KD6OFZ)
