W6VVR Vaca Valley Radio Club, Past President, Past Vice President, Past Club Secretary, Past Activities Coordinator.

Member of the Northern California Contest Club, NCCC.

Extra Class Accreditied Volunteer Examiner.

My main station equipment is a Kenwood TS-45ØSAT, Ameritron AL-811 Amplifier upgraded with Svetlana 572B tubes, and a LDG AT-1ØØØ Autotuner. I have three antennas covering 8Øm thru 1Øm to choose from, a Cushcraft MA5B shortened beam up 35' on a home brew roof mount, a GAP Titan DX Vertical on the side of my house, and a 8Øm/4Øm trap dipole up 31' at the apex of the inverted V that stretches from the ash tree in the front yard to the fence in the back yard.

Locally I operate a Kenwood TM-261A into a J-Pole antenna up 2Ø' for local repeater work. Mobile I operate a Kenwood TM-7Ø7A with a 5/8 wave Larson trunk lid antenna mount. Although I am capable of operating on 7Ø centimeters, I never do, that band is dead around here with Pave Paws restrictions on the local repeaters.

I also operate portable during CQP most years using my very fine Kenwood TS-45ØSAT with all the roofing filters and a variety of antennas including the very versatile Buddipole antenna system. My portable station is powered by a used 1,000 watt Kipor generator that purrrrrs very quietly in the back ground.

Worked All States Award from Bakersfield, CA. Worked All States Award CW Only from Vacaville, CA. Worked All Continents Award - CW Only. DXCC awards on CW, Phone, Mixed , 3Øm, 2Øm, 17m, and 15m. Several 1st Place Awards for ARRL Pacific Division and/or East Bay Section November Sweepstations, ARRL International DX Contest, ARRL VHF/UHF Contest, and ARRL 1Ø Meter Contest. Central California DX Club CW Super Sprint Award, 2nd place! Woohoo!

I reply to all QSL cards. FYI - The photo on my QSL card is a folded rotatable dipole antenna that is well grounded.and yes, I practice yoga.ohmmmmmmm :)
