Hi my name is Nathan. I am 11 years old. I got my Technician license at the end of December 2006 when I was 9. In September 2008 I got my General class license at the age of 11.

I worked my first satellite contacts K9OIM, K6YK and KD8CAO June 2 2007. These were on AO-51. Thank you!

I worked my first PSK31 contacts in September 2008.

I attended Contest University 2007 and then went to the Dayton Hamfest. The Hamvention was a lot bigger than I thought it would be.

I worked the big 6 meter band opening on Monday evening (January 8th 2007) with my father. My dad's callsign is WD5EAE. We used my callsign, KE5LWF. If you worked me -please- send me a QSL card. I will QSL also. We totalled up all my contacts after we shutdown. I worked 80 contacts over 2.5 hours. It was a lot of fun and good training for me.

My father is working with me to train me as a good radio operator. He is also helping me with electronics. I built an Elecraft XG1 kit. Its a signal reference tool. I have also built: 1) an LED light kit which uses a timer 2) a 40 meter receiver and 3) a PIC experimenter's board. I like building electronic kits.

I also enjoy reading books, building with Legos, and operating the radio.
