Hi.

I have been very active in Amateur Radio for over 30 years now. I enjoy all aspects of Amateur Radio but my favorites are HF contesting, ragchewing and traffic handling. I also enjoy weak signal work on VHF and UHF SSB and do a lot of portable operation in both HF and weak signal VHF. Allthough I work all modes my favorite mode is CW. IM also very active in our local Ham club and I have been Field Day chairman for several years now. I also operate a special event station at our Solano County Fair with our main emphasis being recruiting new people into Ham Radio and showing the public what we do. My home station consists of two Yaesu trancievers, a FT-1000 Mark V and a  FT-920. My antenna as you can see in my picture is a 3 element SteppIR,plus a dipole and inverted-L. My portable station is a ICOM 706MK2G with both screwdriver and Ham Stick antennas for HF and horizontal stacked loops for UHF, VHF. IM a member of the ARRL, North Bay Amateur Radio Association, Northern California Contest Club, Auxillary Communications Service, Side Winders on Two, Ten-Ten International and Fists CW Club.

In addition to Ham Radio I also enjoy Boating in the Delta, RVing, Railroad Buff, musician (Piano) and desert ghost town exploring in Nevada. Hope to hear you on the bands soon. Gary KE6QR
