73's.... picture of new updated shack and "Quad" installed Nov/2008 and a picture of me in old shack (with older radios) taken last year, and picture of new updated ham shack with a "lights out" shot......FYI I go by the name "SCOTTY" (middle name) and reside in Sparks Nevada..I retired in April 2006 and moved to Nevada from the Seattle Washington area..I like the country here, the weather and lot's of places to explore...I was a search and rescue volunteer......retired from that too, so you might say "fully" retired and loving it!... also I have found an interest in metal detecting.... I have a whites 6000DI-PRO-SL metal detector... also do gold prospecting and panning too...another new hobby!....I have found a few nuggets so far....and more to come I hope!....plus some relics and coins......I plan on getting involved with CW  and when the condition's get better,I will definetly do some serious DX'ing...also plan on getting my extra, in the near future....The boom is a heil boom and I am using a high end SBR-1000 studio broadcast recording microphone with a nice full range...hence the quality audio...(so I am told hi)...I run a (3)-band full wave "Gotham" Quad with 10/17/20 meters up about 45' on my tower...a 75 meter dipole,  a 20/40 meter full wave CCD dipole all inverted "V" antenna's and a 160 meter sloper, all up about 35' off the tower.. I am really enjoying the hobby, and find it not only interesting but challenging....have met some really great hams on the air and I am sure many more to come... hope to chat with you on the bands soon!..take care all of you out there and BE SAFE!....73's "SCOTTY"  KE7NCO....
