Hello All. I currently live in Brush Prairie, Washington. This is a very small town approximately 20 miles north of Portland, Oregon. Received my Technician class license in September 2007, my General class license in December 2007, and received my Extra class license in June 2009. Equipment for HF is as follows: Kenwood TS-830S Transceiver Yaesu FT-450 Transceiver Kenwood TS-690S Transceiver Daiwa CN-801 SWR & Power Meter Palstar AT2K Antenna Tuner Ameritron AL-811H Amplifier Antennas: A Moxon antenna for 20 meters at 30 feet. It is not pretty, but seems to work. 135 foot inverted V with the apex at about 25 feet for 80 meters and the rest. Pretty low I know, but doing the best I can. I hope to get it higher someday. For VHF/UHF: Yaesu FT7800 Antenna: Comet GP-3 on the roof at about 15 feet. I enjoy casual DXing. I am also in the process of restoring my meager CW skills. Started out last winter on CW and got sidetracked when I discovered 20 meter SSB. Lost most of what I had learned, so I want to be ready when the sunspot cycle starts its upswing. 73 and good DX!! P.S. The picture displayed is Mt. St. Helens during a steam eruption on March 8, 2005 and is featured on my QSL card. Picture taken by my sister from her back yard!
