Click for more detail... Hello, Ham Radio is the best!! I enjoy the hobby for both the social and technical aspects. Got my ticket in June of 2009 and was issued KF5BIT. When I upgraded to General in August 2009 I found W5BIT was available as vanity and requested the call. For HF, I am running a Yaesu FT-101ZD MK1 barefoot on a homebrew fat 4 antenna. The old girl is in great shape and has many QSO's left in her. You can catch me on the local 2 meter repeater (146.780 mhz - 131.8hz tone) via my VX-3R HT and FT-2800m in my truck. For a base I have a FT-2400 powered by a converted computer power supply and a homebrew knock your socks off vertical (core made from a retired crappie pole). If you are near the Henderson, Rusk County area give me a shout on the repeater. I look forward to meeting you on the air..... 73's Jon Last modified: Thu Nov 5 19:24:47 2009 Does this page contain inappropriate content? If so, Report this page... |
