Hello, right now I am primarily interested in 10 meter ssb.  Being an OTR Driver, I am mobile allmost every day and frequently monitor 28.400 mhz. Currently operating an old HR2510 with an average output of 12 watts into a 4 foot fiberglass top-loaded whip.  I will be adding an LDG Z-11 tuner and a Timewave DSP for the mobile operation.  The wife wants me to begin using my Yaesu FT-1500 as an APRS beacon.  I told her OK if she would get at least a Tech ticket for herself. Maybe by the end of the Summer, she will be on the air and the APRS as well.
