Hi, my name is Patrick Wilson. I'm not currently as active in radio as I used to be, but I still jump on occasionally. I am an Amateur Extra, passed 5 wpm code, was only ever good up to about 15-20 wpm. I got my first license back in 2003 when I was 13, and was an Extra by the time I was 15. I ran a 10 meter beacon for a while which I currently off the air, 28.253 -- you may have logged it. I was sort of the pioneer in this area to working the satellites, AO-51, AO-27, etc.

My last job kept me from having much time on my hands, but in my new position at Chattanooga's EPB Fiber Optics, I have much more time to myself and am hoping to get more involved in amateur radio like I used to be. In 2006 I was the runner-up for the GA ARRL's Young Ham of the Year award. I occasionally go caving in any of the many, many wonderful and beautiful caves in the Tennessee/Alabama/Georgia region, or TAG as we cavers call it).
