Click for more detail... I have been interested in ham radio for more than 30 years. After being granted a novice license in 1965(WN7ETD),I moved to Alaska and worked for RCA Service Company in Microwave and Troposcatter radio. Returning to Reno, I studied electrical engineering for 3 years and worked for the local cable company as microwave engineer. I returned to the phone company where I had worked briefly in 1965 and now look forward to retiring in a few months. My interests are ham radio(cw all bands) and amateur astronomy. Well retirement didn't last long, as I now reside in Spring Creek,Nevada and work for Sprint Corp maintaining four regeneration sites and about 250 miles of fiber optic cable. It seems I traded one segment of the electromagnetic spectrum for another. 2009 Update After retiring again in '05, I accepted an Adjunct Faculty position with Great Basin College as a math instructor. I guess retiring just isnt in the cards for me, at least not anytime soon. 73 and clear skies...Gerry KG7TD Rev: KG7TD - Wed Jul 22 20:57:00 1998 Last modified: Thu Sep 17 11:05:22 2009 Does this page contain inappropriate content?
