II love QRP work,I have a kx3 which i take everywhere.Im a SOTA member and do alot of mountain topping.The pic above is my atv with the KX3 and hamstick,I have 10,20,40 now but will be going to a somekind of multi band later on.My home station is an Icom 7410,Kenwood ts-711a, Rigblaster Plus2,CN-801 meter,Ameritron rcs-4 switch box. My antennas are a TH-3 jr by Hygain at 55ft and a Antron 99 above it for the locals on 10m. I also have a Hygain 18AVT ground mounted Vertical 10 - 80m with the add on for 17m. I have a 6meter PAR on the side of tower with 150ft ldf4 hardline fed to it. CW key is a Vibroplex iambic . Home made oil field dummy load. Home made 40m & 30m invertedV at only 30ft at apex over metal roof. Rotor is Hygain Ham-4. I love to work DX on 6,10,12,15,17,20,30.I have also just become active in Summits On The Air [SOTA],the pic in the snow with the portable yagi is from summit w4v/ab-034 located on Kents Ridge,VA.I was the first to activate this sight on 1/19/13.I also have a new 30m Vertical i just built, and loving 30m cw and digital.I find myself running less and less power and haveing more fun with QRP. 73 .6 Meter PAR,TH3jr tribander and antron 99 above yagi.
