I passed the HAM exam at Pacificon 2007 in San Ramon, California and I am enjoying AX.25 packet radio, APRS and SSTV. I did long range APRS messaging via the International Space Station and received several crystal clear SSTV pictures from the ARISS station on board the ISS on which space ship commander Mike Fincke KE5AIT celebrated the 25th anniversary of amateur radio in space. The ARISS team sent me this certificate as acknowledgement. I am now building a Sat-GATE APRS ground station based on a Java microprocessor board. I am a member of the Foothills Amateur Radio Society and the Palo Alto Amateur Radio Association located in Silicon Valley, California and member of the ARRL and AMSAT.
