First lic as Novice WN6CTB In 1970. Took upgrade test at FCC in Los Angles and received call WA6CTB. A member and past president of K6SIR ARC in San Gabriel, California. I moved to Washington state in 1980 and changed my call to N7LXA. With up grade to Advance I changed my call to present KI7DG. I am a 20wpm Extra. Age (74) has slowed down my straight key operation and I'm now relying more on the digital modes PSK31, and RTTY. A founding member and past president of W7ORC ARC Okanogan, Washington. A member of the Lake Chelan ARC Chelan, Wa. A member of the Spokane DX Association.

I enjoy collecting wall paper, rag chewing and working contests and in the process working on DXCC Honor Roll and 5BWAS.

Station set up is ICom-756pro, ICom-756, ICom 2m rig, Tokyo HL1.2K amp, N3FJP logging program and MFJ 998 Intellituner. I am using the LDG ALK-2 to interface both radios thru the MFJ tuner, HL 1.2 amp and the whole antenna system. This allowed me to use the tuner and amp for both radios. The Antenna farm consists of a 55 foot Tri-Ex motorized crank up tower, with a Hygain TH6DXX and a Cushcraft 12,17,30m rotatable dipole on top, Hustler 5BTV, 160m Inverted vee & 80m inverted vee, home brew 6m vertical and Cushcraft 4 elm 6m beam. Also have a 2m and 70cm Diamond antenna

I am a Semi retired Real Estate Broker and assist my wife of 42 years who owns and operates the largest Property Management Company in the County. During the Summer we take 2 week vacations each month of June, July and August taking the 29' Nash trailer out to the lake or camping. I have a ICom 7200, AL-811A Amp, LDG tuner, Alpine Screwdriver antenna, and Hustler Mobil antenna with resonators for 10-80m. Depending on how long we will be staying determines what antenna system I'll use. A week or more I'll use the Alpine Screwdriver and on weekends the Mobil. Both the Tlr and tow vehicle have an ICom 2400 2m rig.

The house in the picture is a geodetic Dome. with about 3500 sq feet. There are 3 floors and a daylight basement. From first floor living room to ceiling is 30 feet.. The radio shack is located in the daylight basement. The house with 1 acre sits on a hill over looking the town of Okanogan. Okanogan is the second largest town in the County with Pop of 2,700. The largest town only has 4,900 Pop. The nearest City is 100 miles away. We are about 50 miles South of the Canadian Border. Apples, Cattle, Recreation, Government and Welfare contribute to the economy of the County. We are the largest County land area wise in the State and rank 10th in the nation. Only 18% of the County is in private ownership the rest is owned by State or Federal agencies.
