Station supports HF-6m-2m-70cm-1.25m-33cm via loop, yagis, dipoles and verticals.

EARS Repeater is 146.67 - split and a 103.5 PL tone.

The Station also supports the Alaska ARES Group by operating the WL7CVG-10 VHF RMS on 144.900mhz. Winlink users can send or retrieve emails using their Ham Call Winlink address over a standard 2 meter FM radio on either PacLink or AirMail programs.

This is a Military Amateur Recreation Station that supports the Anchorage Area and the local military bases. The KL7AIR call dates back to 1948 on Elmendorf. The Winter 48/49 Amateur Call Book lists the call and in1951 Call Book lists KL7AIR 1931st Comm Sq, Elmendorf AFB, Alaska. While the Elmendorf Amateur Radio Society began life in 1996 it is mearly an extention of a long history of Hams on Elmendorf. If you look back into history a Radio Club has been part of the Elmendorf Communications functions for a very long time.

We try to operate in the CQ and ARRL contests and are on the air several times a week on HF, usually 20m during the day.
