Hello fellow Hams. I am located in the heart of the Pee-Dee. The Pee-Dee Region is a name given to the local area which extends to the Grand Strand or better known as the Myrtle Beach area. Grid Square FM04 - Darlington County South Carolina. More specifically, Darlington County, Darlington, South Carolina, approx. 60 miles west of Myrtle Beach and 60 miles east of the capital - Columbia,SC. Yes, I am in the sticks. My main interests in Amateur Radio are Contesting, Dxing and promoting Amateur Radio. I have been a Ham since age 14 (now 58) and have enjoyed the many aspects of this wonderful hobby and fellowship which we all have been blessed with. First licensed in 1967 as WN3JLT, later WA3JLT, K3JLT, NY2L, K4DLJ and now KM4D. Thanks to the FCC Vanity program I have recently been blessed with a good/new CW callsign. (99% acitive on CW). Former member of the Frankford Radio Club and current member of the Florence Amateur Radio Club www.w4ulh.org . Special interests are 160, 80 meter DXing/HF/VHF Contesting, Boatanchor collecting and building/experimenting with antenna's. Life member - ARRL and supporter of the ARRL. Employed as Chief Engineer for 7 FM and 3 AM local Broadcast Stations. This has all been possible with grace of God and with the help of my family and many very special freinds.
