***** 50 Years Licensed 1963 - 2013 *****

Novice class licensed as WN4RXS in West Palm Beach, Florida, while a sophmore in high school. Radioman 2nd Class USCG Reserve 1970-73 in Riviera Beach and Jacksonville, Fl. In 1974, as a Meteorology graduate from Florida State University, I worked on the GATE Program based in Dakar, Senegal, West Africa. I operated as WA4RXS/6W8 along with a team from the University of Wisconsin.I also operated maritime mobile on the RV Gilliss (U of Miami) during the experiment. Enjoy chasing DX, contesting, tinkering with antennas, anything Antarctica, Museum Ships and LIghthouses. It was a blast re-discovering the hobby in 2009 (using my 1960's vintage Swan 260 and 18AVT vertical) and being "radioactive" once again! I've upgraded from Advanced to Extra Class in 2010. Made significant upgrades to rigs and antennas per below.

Station: Primary:TEN-TEC ORION I with Amp Supply LK-550 linear. Digital: YAESU FT-990, RigBlaster Advantage
