Will be operating as KQ8Z(/4) Sept 2016, in Juno Beach, FL. Will be using a IC-7300 and various vertical antennas on the boat dock over the salt water lagoon.
Any QSLs for KQ8Z send to GM0IIO. Sold up in FL in 2015 and moved back to Scotland.
Station is an Icom 756PROIII and MFJ-1622 super-extended balcony antenna (16' whip). Backup is the IC-7400 (746Pro). Have a IC-7000 for portable and mobile operations. MFJ-259B antenna analyzer (how did I manage without one for all these years ???, now upgraded to a RigExpert AA-30. The MFJ went the way of all the other MFJ stuff I've had). Alpha 76PA, IC2KL, and Ameritron AL-80B amplifiers. Latest equipment is the Elecraft K3 and KX3, KPA-500, P3, KAT500.
Pictured outside the condo with FT-817 and ATX Walkabout. Working Europe with ease with 2.5 watts on 20m SSB. Salt water rocks !
