Thank you for looking at my bio. I'm proud to be a born again Christian and I'm also a member of Cherokee First Baptist Church. God is first and foremost in my life. Nothing is possible without him. I enjoy Amateur Radio and APRS is my big thang now days. I've downsized in recent years, but I'm still interested in the hobby. I believe that if hams would give APRS a lengthy try they might find it beneficial for various reasons. One of the great benefits especially when operating weak signal VHF/UHF is the observation of propagation in the VHF band. It's also a valuable tool in Skywarn activity and other. Try it, it can be fun. I monitor the W5TCR Repeater (146.850 P141) locally and use Voice Alert mobile and base. I am Secretary/Treasurer for the Tishomingo County Amateur Radio Club which is based in Tishomingo County Mississippi. The W5TCR Repeater is located on Woodall Mountain in the county near Iuka, MS. Woodall Mountain is the tallest point in the state at 806' ASL. We have a weekly net on the repeater at 8:00 PM local (Central) time each Tuesday evening. Everyone is welcome to check in. IUKAMS Digipeater is also located on Woodall Mountain. My APRS stations include: KU4WW home KU4WW-7 HT KU4WW-9 mobile (SATgate also) KU4WW-3 portable KU4WW-2 via ISS Thank you again and may God's Blessings be upon you. 73, Jeff/KU4WW Last modified: 2011-01-21 22:47:24, 1445 bytes cached
