My 110 (1800CC) VTX (V-Twin Extream)

I became an Extra Class Licensee on November 12th, 2011.

I was licensed as a 5wpm CW HAM before the requirement was dropped.

I became un-employed (Down sizing and Medical) on the 20th of September of 2000, and returned to the Willamette Valley after 18 years of absence. I lived in Coos Bay Oregon where I married my High School Sweetheart after a 40 year absence on October 20th, 2007, and returned to Polk County (Dallas Oregon) January of 2011..

Added a new Base Station. Now using an Yaesu FT-990 with MD-1, DV-2, and SP-6.

Yes I am keeping the Yaesu FT-897. Pictures at the bottom.

My station Was an Yaesu FT-897, and Alinco 330MV Power Supply. I have added a LDG Z-100 Autotunner, Two W4RT Internal Batteries and the Direct Frequency Entry MH-59 Microphone, and the ATAS 120 screwdriver antenna for 40meters to 70 centimeters.

I sold the Kenwood TS-520SE I got in April 2012 , along with the VFO-520S to go with it, and the AT-200. With my D-104 to finish it off, Since I got the FT-990 I am making more DX contacts

My current QTH is a 1930 built home on a half acre on the hill above Dallas Oregon The last house in the City Limits to the south of Dallas. I have several 50 to 75 foot trees with 200 feet between them and I plan a real maze of wire in the air. Maybe an 160 loop.

My perminant shack is up and populated. I have an 18 foot by 10 foot dedicated room for my gear.

My main antenna is a two band (10m& 20m) fan dipole in an inverted "V" configuration, an 80 Meter Dipole, a 10m 15m 20m 40m Vertical, and an Antron 99 Which I use on 10m 12m and 17m. I now have my 6 Meter Beam sold.

I am a Member of R.O.A.D.S. (Radio Operators Association of Dallas and Surrounding Oregon area) and was a Charter Member.

My First Phone Contact as a General was 1000 miles, QRP (5 watts), using a Slinky (Cliff Dweller) on 20 meters with an Yaesu FT-757

I have worked in Marine Electronics, Avionics and Robotics.

My primary current background is tech and management in data processing and automated manufacturing. Retired in September of 2000.

I was 66 years old on August 20th of 2013.

I love Motorcycles, Boating, Cowboy Action Shooting (SASSNET.Com), RVing, and Electronics of all kinds.

PSK 20 Meter is where you will find me 14.070 (Recently mostly 10 Meters everywhere and everything)

I am using HRD and DM780 for PSK31, MMTY and MMSTV with a AMD 64 and sound card. I have a MixW RigExpert Tiny. Also a KPC-3 for packet.

My Current Equipment List includes Yaesu FT-990, Yaesu FT-897 All mode all band, and a Drake 2-NT with a Drake 2-c Receiver and 2-CQ Speaker.. MFJ-269 Antenna Analyzer, TM-241A, a HTX-204 and an ADI 201, HTX-400and a Yaesu FT-7800 in the mobile with an Antenna Specialist Commercial Antenna and a Cobra 200 GTL DX. Ringo AR-2, Ringo AR-6, Hygain AVT18, Antron 99, Cushcraft 2 meter and 6 meter 3 element beam, Larson 440 5 element, and several GMRS, MURS, Marine and Aircraft Antennas. Also the Fan Dipole mentioned previously (Since July 20th 2008)

Uniden BC-1, DX-394, PRO-2039, 2 Uniden BC-100 and a Uniden Washington with an Antron 99. RS-1850 FRS Base and Mobile, Cobra FRS RS-1210 MURS Base and Mobile, Kenwood and Audiovox GMRS HT's and Assorted Aircraft and Marine Transceivers.

I no longer hold GMRS ZA Service FCC Station Licensee WPSL211

When I am not on the Radio, or riding the Motorcycle, I do Single Action Shooting and 1890 and 1865 reenactment. My persona is an 1898 Telegrapher. I am in my 13th year of retierment.
