I was first licensed as a Novice class in November 1984 as KA5UZI. February 1985 I upgraded to Technician class (N5IRJ) then General class in March 1985. In April 1986 I upgraded to Advanced class and waited until 1992 to change my call trying to obtain KJ5DX but received KJ5FG. I recieved the vanity call KX5RW on 01 October, 1997. I like to chase DX and operate contests as well as all digital modes both on HF and the high bands. I have worked a total of 242 countries but have only 177 confirmed. I do have my RCC and two DXCC awards plus have qualified for WAS and WAC. PSE QSL, TNX! My QSL is available via LoTW, Buro, Direct, and EQSL.net, respectively.

The HF/ 6 meter equipment I am currently using is; Kenwood TS-570SG, Ameritron AL811H amplifier, MFJ -962D roller-inductor tuner, Diamond SX- 600 multi-function meter, MFJ 949D Tuner, Ameritron ADL1500 dummy load, SignaLink USB digital modem, Mosley TA34XL, GAP Titan DX Ground Plane, Solarcon A-99 Ground Plane, Astron RS-35 A power supply. .

The VHF/UHF equipment I am currently using is; Kenwood TM-V71A (mobile), Icom IC910H, ADI 147+ (mobile), Alinco DJ-G7 and TYT UVF-1 dual band H-T's, Cushcraft A50-6S (6 elements on 6 meters), a pair of stacked Cushcraft A148-20T's and a pair of stacked Cushcraft A449-11S yagis, and two Yaesu G450A rotators. I also maintain a G.E. Master II UHF repeater (KX5RW/R) with an A.C.C. model R.C. 85 controller @ 444.000 MHz. + 5 MHz. with a C.T.C.S.S. of 141.3 Hz. with the DB Products 'eight bay' antenna @ 120 feet A.G.L. If you are ever in the OKC metro area, feel free to give me a call.

If I haven't yet, I sincerely hope to meet you on the bands someday. 73 es gud DX de Ron, KX5RW --. .-- . . --. - - - -- - . .-. --- -. ---- -.- -- . .-. .--
