Status today 16.2.2015

In the middle of K1N Operation we had a storm coming named "Ole". Results of the storm was three of my verticals in the 4 SQ bended as you can see on the picture below. This ant. I also use on 30m and 40m. Have to wait until June when the snow has gone before to repair this antennas.

In spite of this I managed to work K1N on 80m SSB/CW.

My location, 400km above the arctic circle (N 69 E 18), gives me unique possibilities to work lowband dx all day long 24/7 between the time period from Nov-Feb. From 27.Nov and 9 weeks ahead the sun is below the horizon all the time. This means no sunrise and no sunset, and I can work stations in all continents in the middle of the day.

See you on lowband!

Tonight k=6 and I went outside taking pictures of the Northern Light (aurora borealis). At this latitude we often expericence Northern Light.
