Above: My computer-optimized home-made 7-band HF beam antenna covering the 7, 10, 14, 18, 21, 24 and 28 MHz bands. In addition, you don't see very well the numerous antenna wires (total some 500 m length) in the air as dipoles, half squares, and long wires (including Beverage antennas) for the 160, 80, and 60 m bands in the 20 m tall trees around the house, plus more than 1 km of counterpoise wires on the ground, covering the 4000 m2 hilltop property about 300 m above sea level.

VHF-UHF antenna mast at LA4LN

My VHF-UHF antenna mast at LA4LN: 6 elements for 50 MHz, over 5 elements for 70 MHz, over 9 elements for 145 MHz, over 48 elements for 432 MHz. In addition you see my 7 elements for 50 MHz (10 m long boom) on my HF antenna mast to the left. The front cover pictured is from a thematic double issue of the Norwegian Amateur Radio Magazine covering 70 MHz (4 m) with LA4LN as guest editor and the major contributor of articles.

Operating conditions during the winter -- here my VHF/UHF antennas with arm-thick snow + ice cover at 4 Jan 2012. The top 6 m beam antenna was slightly twisted (rotated) on the mast during one of our winter storms.
