Will be QRV from Ayia Napa, Cyprus as 5B/LA9BM

Rig: IC 7100           Antenna: Buddipole (Buddisticks)

Main band will be 20 and 17 meter and possibly higher

Will be QRV on SSB, CW and Digi Modes (RTTY, PSK63)


Born in 1950 and licensed in 1969. QRV regulary in 45 years. Living in Geilo located 150 km north-west of Oslo in the beautiful mountains of Norway 800 meter asl (2 600 ft). The mountains further to the north-west are raising 2 000 meter asl (6 500 ft). It's hard to work NA on higher bands!

QSL:  Only LOTW and eQSL. Sorry but no QSL via bureau.

My favourite activity in HAM radio is:

     > DX ing on HF
     > Constesting
     > Portable operation
     > DX ing on 50 and 70 MHz - aurora, meteorscatter and Es propagations
QRV 80 % in CW but also in SSB, JT6M, JT65, FSK441 and a number of digital modes.



     > Icom IC-7700 HF + 50 MHz transceiver
     > Icom IC-7100 HF/50 Mhz/70 Mhz transceiver
     > SPE Expert 2K-FA amplifier 1.8 - 50 Mhz


In a 18 meter / 60 foot fiberglass tower:

          # 80 meter - Inverted Vee Dipole
          # 40 meter - Inverted Vee Dipole
          # 30 meter - Inverted Vee Dipole
          # 20 meter - 5/8 wl vertical with 50 radials

Other bands:

          # 15 meter - Vertical dipole antenna
          #  6 meter - 8 el. yagi @ 8 meter boom on a 15 meter tower
          #  4 meter - 8 el. yagi @ 8 meter boom on a 15 meter tower
          # Portable operation - Buddipole (vertical and dipole)
