The LI call sign was used by Thor Heyerdal in 1947 on his Kon Tiki raft expedition. LI2B was the call and it became his call sign for life. The Norwegian authorities are very restrictive in giving other prefixes than LA, LB and LC. This year (2005) Norway is celebrating 100 years of independence. (We were in union with Sweden for 94 years and before that, several hundred years with Denmark. Before that we had our own Kings hundreds of years.) For this event all LA stations got permission to use the prefix LI and all LB stations the prefix LJ from May 17 to June 7. 1550 qso's in total (incl. dupes). To get this qsl card you have to qsl first, either via the bureau or direct. It's up to you. 1 USD = 6 NOK Air mail to Europe : 10,00 NOK Outside Europe : 12,00 NOK (Also: JX9SN, TF/LA9SN, OY/LA9SN, LA9SN, LD9SN, LA9SN/p, 3G0YM/3G0YP, CE6/LA9SN).
