Nací en 1976 y obtuve mi licencia de radio aficionado en 1995, en el radio club Belgrano LU4AAO, en ese entonces LU7AWC. Mis primeras transmisiones fueron con un Drake TR4C prestado y un dipolo de 80 metros acompañado de una direccional de 3 elementos montada en una pequeña torre de 6 metros en un edificio del barrio de Belgrano, Buenos Aires.
I was born in 1976 and became radio amateur by the year 1995, I took my course and exams at LU4AAO Radio Club Belgrano, back then my call sign was LU7AWC. My firsts emissions were using a Drake TR4C, an 80 meters dipole and a 3 elements Yagi over a small tower (20 feet) in Belgrano, Buenos Aires city.
Luego en el año 2000 me fui a vivir a San Martin de los Andes, Neuquen, donde me fue asignada la licencia LU7YWC, para ese entonces contaba con un Icom IC 721 y solo un dipolo de 10 metros. Por distintos motivos me fui alejando de la radio hasta octubre de 2012 en que retome con muchas ganas esta nueva etapa como radio aficionado donde internet y los modos digitales al alcance de todos han cambiado la radio.
Back in the year 2000 I moved to San Martin de los Andes, Neuquen, and got the new callsign LU7YWC, by that moment the rig was an Icom IC721 and a plain 10 meter dipole. Due to different reasons I left the radio behind untill october 2012 when I re launched my activity with this new era in amateur radio where internet and digimodes have changed the way radio was.
Ahora transmitiendo de la patagonia Argentina con un Yaesu FT DX 3000 y una doble L invertida espalda con espalda para 80, 40, 15 y una yagi de 4 elementos para 10 metros.
Now transmitting from patagonia Argentina with a Yaesu FT DX 3000, the antennas: a Double L back to back for 80, 40 15 bands, and a 4 elements yagi for 10 meters.
Comence a transmitir en CW por primera vez en noviembre de 2012 y progresando paso a paso.
I've started transmitting on CW for the first time in november 2012 and improving day by day.

Un cambio mayor en la estación, incorporación de un Yaesu FT DX3000. Es un equipo muy completo y al lado del pequeño 857 las prestaciones son impresionantes. Para poder utilizarlo con HRD y CWSkimmer hay que hacerlo pasar por un FT DX5000, no funcionan todos los comandos pero lo basico esta. Destacable del 3000 la capacidad para filtrar ruidos y aislar estaciones que llegan muy comprometidas. El decodificador de CW funciona muy bien siempre que se adecue la velocidad de transmision. El analizador de espectro no es la maravilla pero cumple con lo suyo.
A major upgrade on the rig, brand new Yaesu FT DX3000. It's a complete transceiver and compared to the tiny 857 the performance it's awesome. I could use it with HRD and CWSkimmer setting it as a DX5000, no all the commands works but it'll do. So far the best feature of the FT DX3000 is the capability to filter noise and isolate station that arrives really weak. CW decoder works quite well (you have to set the correct speed). Scope is not top quality but fair enough.

Instalé la antena y por problemas de RF enviados de vuelta al equipo lo apagaba y reseteaba, solucionado con un pequeño choke balun, o sea 5 vueltas de cable enrollado a la salida de la antena
After installing the Yagi RF went back to the Yaesu and turned off, even all reset happened, the problem was solved with a "choke balun", 5 turns of the feeding line at the top of the tower.
