By the end of this year in Sofia Zoo (http://www.zoosofia.eu/) will work station with a special initial LZ123ZOO. Call is in honor of 123 anniversary of Sofia Zoo. LZ123ZOO license is granted by the Bulgarian Communications Regulation Commission (http://www.crc.bg/index.php?lang=en) to LZ5VV, Ivailo Marinov, for the period from 17.10.2011 until 31.12.2011.

The radio station is located near the pavilion for snacks and soft drinks next to the cells of monkeys. QTH locator KN12PP, precise geographical coordinates are N 42 degrees 39.439 minutes E 23 degrees 19.998 minutes. 594 m ASL.

Radio station is equipped with 100 W transceiver YAESU FT-897 and GP antenna for 14, 21 and 28 MHz.

The work of LZ123ZOO is organized by LZ5VV, LZ1GL and LZ1DLZ. Radio works in the open place, so by the end of the year is expected to work not more than 2 or 3 days.
LZ123ZOO will work usually at Saturday and Sunday, when meteo condition are good.

The station have no QSL manager, QSL via LZ QSL Bureau - Sofia 1000, PO Box 830.
