I have been licensed for 6 years in total as M3PNN then 2E0PNN and now M0PNN. Many thanks to Mike G3JKX for the training.
I am active in SSB,RTTY,PSK,SSTV,JT6M,CW with a maxium power of 100 watts.
CW
I have been learning cw for 3 years my first real qso was with W3DF on 29th Dec 2009. Sorry I am still a little slow. I really enjoy cw its added a whole new dimension to the hobby. Thanks to Eric M0KZB for the cw lessons.
Latest Project
I have been building a Genesis G3020 SDR Radio Transceiver QRP Kit M0TOY has helped out alot (thanks Rob) I am getting 2w on 20 meters and 5 watts on 30 meters its great fun. I still have to trouble shoot the low power on 20. I may have to take a wind off an inductor. Its cw only at the moment so if we have had a qso with this little radio thanks !!!

Antennas HF.
I have a small average garden 30ft long and 20ft wide at the back so large towers, beams etc are out of the question. For HF 40 To 10 Meters I use a radio works Carolina Windom half of which is over the roof of my house.
I have 5/8 wave silver rod cb antenna for 10/12 meters which works very well.
For 80 I use a loop antenna which runs right around my house and garden is just short of 80 meters around fed with twin 450 ohms twin feeder to a 1:1 current balun with 213 coax cable though the shack wall into the house.
For Top band I use a homemade vertical antenna about 14 meters high with a quarter wave 128ft helically wound around it a 9:1 unun then coax to the shack. Counterpoise is 350ft of wire, copper pipes buried in the back garden while the wife was away visiting family.
A large 1:1 current balun is fitted just before the rig with the outer going straight to earth via a solid 6ft copper pipe.
Antennas VHF.
For 6 meters I am currently using a CA 52-HB4-4 element 50MHz Beam antenna its very light weight and works very well. For 2 meters I use a 9 element tonna both are fed with westflex 103. For 70cm/2m repeaters and 6m repeaters I use a GP-15N High Gain Tri Band antenna.
The house on my QSL card is Izaak waltons Cottage where Izaak Walton (1593-1683), the famous angler and author, lived during his retirement. I help to look after the grounds of the cottage as part of my job.
