Welcome to the biog of M1AHN.

Active on HF, VHF and UHF. Active Satellite TV feed hunter.

ERC #1154 EPC #20149 DMC #06136 FH #Pending!!

I have a website about Radiocommunications (including Ham Radio), Aviation, and Satellite TV. You can find it at www.radsat.co.uk.

I enjoy transmitting on HF, but I don't do that often enough. The shack is at my mother's as I don't have enough room at home for the kit. I treat the amateur radio hobby as that, a hobby. I try and keep the expense down to the minimum and buy some equipment as cheap as possible.

I have 2 radios for HF, an Icom IC-706 mk2 and an Icom IC-718. Both Icom radios uses an LDG AT-7000 auto ATU and a half size G5RV. For 2 metres the Icom IC-706mk2 is used and a Slim Jim antenna is also utilised. For 70 cms, a Standard C78 is used with it's associated 10 watt linear amp and is connected to a colinear antenna.

I am active on JT65 digimode, usually on 20m (14076 khz), ROS, PSK, and Hell using 50 watts or less.

I use Ham Radio Deluxe and associated programs that come with it. I also have other digimode programs that I will get around to using when I can.

I have a stream on the Justin.tv servers. Go to http://www.justin.tv/m1ahn_radsat to see it for yourself. Not always running due to occasional drop outs on the adsl.

If you live in or around the county of Gloucestershire, you are more than welcome to visit but email me first!

Anyhow, thanks for looking me up. 73's and take care. de Geoff M1AHN.
