Hello from sunny Eastbourne, England! I have been a licensed amateur (Foundation) for six years now - and am very much enjoying it. It has taken me a long time to pluck up the courage to regularly talk on the air, but I now take part in more events and contests. My favourite events are International Lighthouse/Lightships event (our club uses Belle Toute (ENG 006) and it is great fun!), CQ WW SSB, CQ WW WPX and Islands On The Air.

My goals for 2009 are to make DXCC 100 Mixed band on SSB (one day DXCC all bands!!!!!), IOTA 100 and Worked All States.

My station consists of a Yaesu FT-950, Yaesu FT-847 (with Yaesu FC-20 ATU) and a Yaesu FT-840. Aerials currently are a TGM MQ-36SR. Hustler 6-BTV, a "V"; I now have a wire aerial for 160m with a 80m trap.  I also use a bHi speaker filter which I would highly recommend to anyone!

I welcome all QSL cards! Will accept eQSL but much prefer card QSL via bureau or direct! Still working on designing new card for myself and need to contact suppliers to see if they can help... I am really truly sorry if you are still waiting. Due to computer crash in January 2009 my log has gone! Am trying to get it back!

I am also into shortwave radio, astronomy, eBay, target shooting (I am a member of the Redoubt Rifle & Pistol Club here), reading books/magazines (especially radio!), music, astrology, cars, collecting (stamps, QSL cards) and lots more.

I have two gorgeous cats (Maggi and Misty), lots of fish and a beautiful dog called Bob!

My WAB square is TQ60.  I am a member of the following; RSGB, BARLS, BYLARA, WWYC, CDXC, ISWL, ARRL (Lifetime member), NAQCC (Lifetime member), ALARA, YLRL and the UKSMG as well as my local club Southdown Amateur Radio Society!
