I'm currently operating a Yaesu FT-450 @ 10W QRP, manual MFJ-948 ATU, half G5-RV with 80m inductors. For 10m & 12m operation I also use a MAX-2000 Vertical antenna. The MAX has been the subject of many reviews and based on my experience I have found it to be extremely effective on the 10m and 12m bands, making many contacts within europe and beyond. For 2m I use a Yaesu FT-2800M into a  W-300 Colinear.  For mobile VHF / UHF operation I have a Yaesu FT-7800 and dual band antenna.

Grid Computing

For those of you that use computers 24/7 I would encourage you to take a look at the following websites relating to grid computing for medical and scientific research (WCG BOINC SETI etc).

http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/                             http://boinc.berkeley.edu/download.php

My computers have been processing tasks for a number of years now without incident. You would be more than welcome to join the team The Thin Blue Line please be aware the team name is case sensitive. My personal and team statistics can be seen below. This really seems to be a worthwhile activity, you can select how your processing time is used and hopefully make a difference. Grid computing really is a way of making a difference by using your computers idle time effectively.

Family Research

I'm currently researching our family history and I would very much appreciate any images of the church and church yard at Kapaselga. If you can assist please forward any details or images to the above email address. Clearly I'm extremely interested in learning more about my fallen relative:

Thank you for looking up my call.
