Hi, I'm Joe M6JNJ - QTH New Eltham, South East London - JO01AK  51.4399 0.0766 as you can see not far from the Greenwich Meridian, which is about 4 miles away.

I am a member of Cray Valley Radio Society and Chelmsford Amateur Radio Society.   My shack is in the spare bedroom and I'm currently running the following:

Yaesu FT736R - for satellite and digi mode work. A Kenwood TS430S for HF - I also have a couple of mobiles - Yaesu FT817 for mobile work, Yaesu FT7900 for FM work. Handhelds a Baofeng UV5R, WouxunKG699E 4m and an AlincoDJ-v17 2m.  I've also acquired the new KG-UV950P Wouxun quadband, which I'm not sure what I'm going to do with that right now!

I've had my foundation license for 2 years now, and I'm in no hurry to get to intermediate, as this is a retirement project and I want to experience all aspects of the hobby.

I've experienced some satellite work via SO50 and ISS, and now looking to do some radio astronomy in the form of Meteor scatter on 2m.

I've just built a 2m and 70cm LFA's, and they are going up on the roof on a rotator in the near future.  I also have a half size G5RV down the garden, and a Diamond X50 2m/70cm colinear on the roof.

My objectives for 2015 are

1) to release and track a helium balloon with a small 70cm transmitter, and also

2) to make contact with IR0ISS, the International Space Station.
