Hello World, I passed my foundation exam on 28/11/10, first qso on 5/12/10 and will be trying to gain experience in this fascinating hobby of amateur radio. CW is my main interest, however, I might venture onto ssb when I'm allowed some more power but its unlikely. Currently restricted to 10w. Spent 12 years in the Royal Navy, 1962 - 1974 in the communications branch but its been a long time off the key. Yeah, I know, its like riding a bike !! My rigs are; Kenwood TS590S (21/4/12), and Yaesu FT897D + LDG (21/4/12), ant - M0CVO HW-40HP, inverted vee off centre fed dipole, height about 10 Mtrs down to 3 Mtrs, Innovantennas LFA-Q 6M 3 ele quad @ 7M (3/7/13). ATU - Palstar AT2K. My keys are; Begali Spark, Begali Blade (21/4/12), Bencher RJ-1 (21/4/12). Have now added a Begali Simplex Pro paddle and a Kent single lever paddle. At v/uhf I have a Yaesu ft8800 plus Diamond X50 aerial. I would deem it a great kindness if my qso's were confirmed on eqsl and or qrz.com.
