The listed address is our main radio shack based in the town of Portadown, about 30 miles S W from Belfast, the capital city of Northern Ireland. We operate from here most Tuesday evenings for a few hours and at other times subject to the availability of operators. We mostly operate SSB across the hf bands and monitor 145.500mhz FM for local contacts.
We are one of the most active clubs in Northern Ireland, operating from many locations and events through out the Province. We have a well equiped exhibition trailer and 2 mobile masts to allow for full hf / vhf portable operations.
Along with organising many Members events we also support local community and Council events and have participated in several ventures with the BBC.
The Club also manages the permenant Special Event Station GB4 UAS at the museum of the Ulster Aviation Society, located near the city of Lisburn in Northern Ireland.
We run several Foundation courses every year feeding into our annual Intermediate course. Support is offered to those progressing towards their Full call.
