Hi

My name is Dulyn, born and lived in the small village of Penrhyndeudraeth. Then in 1983 I got married to my wonderful wife Eifiona and moved to Blaenau Ffestiniog where I still live.

It will be our Pearl Wedding Anniversary ( 30yrs ) this summer.

We have two sons Geraint the eldest 28, and Ynyr the youngest 26, and one lovely grandson Tomos 2 years old now, and one Granddaughter Cora Eleri born 21st January 2013.

I work at Rehau, Laminating window profiles.

 

Blaenau Ffestiniog is a Slate Mining Town, and is known as the Victorian Slate Capital of the World,with around 10 mines in the town alone during its heyday.

The Ffestiniog Railway ( Narrow Gauge Railway ) has a it's Main Station in the Town Center, running down to Porthmadog. Which opened forslate traffic in 1836.

It also has one of the first Hydro Electric Power Station in the UK, it's water supplied by theStwlan Dam can be seen in between two of the main mountains in the area, Moelwyn Bach & Moelwyn Mawr. (Little Mowlwyn & Big Moelwyn
