First licensed in 1977 I was bitten by the DXing and contesting bug immediately thereafter. I will never forget my first DX qso contacting JH1WIX with about 2 watts using my Heathkit HW-8. Having setup on a Minnesota lakeshore, my first contest style event was the ARRL Field Day. 35 years later DXing and contesting continue to capture my fascination with the hobby!

When not chasing DX or contesting you will find me active on various satellites. I'm also active on 6 and 2 meter meteor scatter using FSK441, ISCAT and PSK2K. You may even run across me chasing DX using RTTY and JT65!
