I was first licensed as WDØARR in 1977 in Columbia, MO. I moved to Platteville, WI later that year and got the call WD9HTA. I upgraded to Advanced and was KB9KN for a short while, getting KB9F in 1979. I moved to North Dakota in 1981 and got the call KNØA which I held until 1999. In 1999 I got the vanity call NØRF.

My wife is NØLG and you can find info about her on her qrz page.

The main station is the Icom IC-7800 and PW-1 into a PalStar AT-Auto. I use the W2IHY 8 Band EQ and the EQPlus for audio shaping, and use a variety of microphones but most often a PR40 Heil. I measure the output with an LP100A digital watt meter.

I also run a Yaesu FTdx5000MP. I drive a Yaesu FL7000 into an LDG AT1000Pro and measure the output using the Alpha 4510 3KW wattmeter. I haven't done new pix yet, but will be updating all the info here soon.

The antennas are:

HyGain Explorer 14 for 20/15/10

Cushcraft A3WS for 17 and 12

Double bazooka dipoles on 30, 40, 75 and 160

I'm active on the digital modes, especially on SSTV using Rigblaster interfaces. I was a computer support professional and love to mix computers and radios. I am now retired and every day is a Saturday!
